Fizzents is an e-commerce retailer of high end, quality bath and body products, owned by me (Danika Gregory) and operated in San Diego, California.

The goal of Fizzents is to offer you great bath and body products, conveniently located in one easy to order location.

Fizzents Goals.

Stock

The first year of business has been a wonderful experience all round. I have learned so much about running a business and keeping sufficient stock levels. We ran out of the stunning Glitz Spritz 3 times in one week and in the end I realized that I would have to quadruple my quantities to keep up with the demand.

Shipping

While our shipping policy allows us a grace period of 2 - 3 days to process an order, we actually process and ship all our orders within 3 HOURS of receiving the online confirmation. The customers noticed and we had some rave reviews from clients who couldn't believe how fast their products arrived at their doors. Our goal is to maintain this level of efficiency and professionalism throughout the coming year.

Packaging

My goal is to present every product purchased to the client in style. Even the way the product is shipped is a thought out presentation. I want everyone who buys from Fizzents to not only LOVE their products, but to also LOVE the speed and presentation of their purchase.

New products

Based on the success of Soular Therapy's Glitz Spritz and Glitterati, I decided to add another line of products manufactured by Soular Therapy. The Astrological Collection! We now offer the candles and shower gels for all 12 astrological signs, which is extremely popular with celebrities and was recommended by Oprah on The O List.

A unique fragrance to enhance the characteristics for each Astrological sign has been specially chosen after extensive research into the Zodiac charts. No matter what you think about Astrology or the Zodiac, it certainly makes buying a personalized gift for someone special so much easier.

Changing your fragrance

I usually start shopping for a new fragrance when my existing perfume bottle reaches the 3/4 mark. It takes me about 1 to 2 months to settle on a new perfume and it bothers me to purchase the same fragrance I just used because I was unable to find a replacement.

Changing the perfume I wear, is my way of reinventing myself and trying something new. A perfume determines my mood and how I feel about myself. While I don't use much, I do like to enjoy the fragrance, after all I choose the fragrance for me and not anyone else. If anyone smells it and offers a compliment, then great, but in the end of the day I choose the fragrance to enhance my sense of who I am.

I like a perfume that makes me feel happy (not light headed) and it must make me INHALE my pulse points every so often and go "Oh my god I love that smell". I always get very excited whenever new perfumes are released into the market, because there are very few perfumes I haven't already tried.

However, interestingly enough, I have found that there are fragrances I once tested and failed, which I now find very interesting. So for me shopping for a new perfume, means retesting some that I have already tried before.

The body changes and so does your mind set, so in some special way even old perfumes that have been on the market for years, have the potential of being my next perfume purchase.

The trick when shopping for a new fragrance, is to go shopping with NO fragrance on your body. Remember, this purchase is going to replace your existing perfume, so you are not shopping to see whether they blend well, but rather whether this is the ONE for you.

Never, test more than 2 fragrances on your body at one time. I usually go to Sephora, because they have a huge selection and the fragrance tester wands are an excellent tool to test the First notes without spraying the stuff all over your arms. Take a pen with you to write the name of the perfume you spray onto the tester wand. I hold onto the wands for a few minutes to see how the scent settles once the alcohol has evaporated.

Once I have decided on my favorite possibilities I spray one on the left and another on my right forearms (from the wrist down the length of the forearm) - NEVER RUB YOUR WRIST TOGETHER - Perfume becomes sour when you do this.

Then I leave the store for fresh air and smell the arm every 5 - 10 minutes to judge the changes (Notes 1 - 3). After about 45 minutes the true scent will be revealed and I either go "Hell no" or "Maybe" and sometimes, if I'm lucky "Eureka, I love it".

I never buy a perfume on the same day, because I like to smell it one last time before I take my bath in the evening. If it still pleases me then tomorrow I will test it one more time and if it still screams "Yes" I will purchase it.

New products expected at Fizzents in 2007

The one product I absolutely must have this year is a Room Diffuser and after months of research I finally found a product that is not only exclusive (i.e. very hard to come by) but it is also very modern and the fragrances are stunning. The name of this product will be released as soon as the agreements have been signed, the stock has been received and it is loaded on our website for clients to view.

We are also negotiating with a Swiss company to carry their line of Face Care products. Once again this is an extremely exclusive product which one of my customers asked me to carry, she has been using it for years and if you could see her skin you would understand why I am eager to get this product as fast as possible. Also, in doing research looking for the company I found hundreds of women posting messages across the internet asking where this product can be found. It is my goal to be able to respond to each of these posting with a website address www.fizzents.com

While I am extremely excited about the two new products mentioned above, there is one more product I can't wait to load on the website. Actually it's more of a service but it is one that I think many brides will appreciate. Fizzents is going to offer wedding favors in beautiful packaging that is customized for each bridal party.

As a child, I was always fascinated at how beautiful and creative wedding favors can be. My grandmother had a large glass show cabinet filled with ornaments and wedding favors she received at her own daughters (4 of them) and other weddings she attended. My grandmother baked wedding cakes and catered them for a living, and was well known around the town for her famous fruit cake and the decorations she made by hand. So she attended many weddings and the glass cabinet was a real conversation piece with her pointing out which favors were her favorites.
