Good News / Bad News.  

I have had many calls from customers asking why the Mila d' Opiz products are no longer displaying on our website.  So I decided to provide an explanation in this months Newsletter.

To begin, I would like to remind everyone reading this that the Mila d' Opiz skin care products are without a doubt excellent.  Our customers who use these skin care lines, have become devoted Mila d' Opiz followers, which is why it also my job to try and get Beauty Salons and Spas to provide Mila d' Opiz treatments as part of the menu.

The bad news is that after months of negotiations and attempting to reach a satisfactory arrangement regarding on-line sales with Mila d' Opiz Switzerland, it was decided that Fizzents must remove the sale of these products from the on-line catalog.  There was great concern from the Canadian Distributor and other retailers that Fizzents was monopolizing the sales of this skin care line, with an unfair advantage, namely our website, which is viewed by hundreds of customers on a daily basis.

The good news is that Fizzents will still be selling this fantastic product line by catalog only, which is sent out together with a sample in each order we ship.  However, there is one restriction, that we may not cross international boarders.

Take it outside. 

I always have a nagging urge to hibernate during the Fall and Winter Months.  But when I drive to the grocery store or pick-up the children from school, I can't help but notice the beautiful and fragrant world around me.

The trees have turned a gorgeous golden yellow and red, giving them the appearance of a colorful fire.  The air becomes crisp and fragrant with the wonderful smells of earth everywhere you go.   Even when I visit the stores themselves the smell of Fall is everywhere, the scents of cinnamon, pumpkin and sweet desserts fills the air.

Despite the urge to huddle in doors, I am drawn outdoors by the wonderful ambiance of Fall, and it is always a very uplifting and rejuvenating experience.

So if you are feeling a little blue, wrap a scarf around your neck; pull on your boots and head outdoors to kick-up the leaves. Afterwards, treat yourself to a sweet Fall treat, Pumpkin Spice Latte anyone?

Astrological Scents.

Another great way to pick-up your mood, is to apply your custom made and unique Astrological Scent before heading out.

Have you ever noticed how one fragrance will smell completely different on each and every person?  Last month I referred you to a insightful book that deals the technical development of perfumes, The Secret of Scent. Adventures in Perfume and the Science of Smell by Luca Turin which is a great book to read for those who love fragrance and want to know more about the subject.

Soular Therapy has taken the development of perfume to a whole new level with its Astrological Aromatherapy collection.  After consulting many professionals in the field of Astrology they determined that each of 12 Astrological Star Sign has a scent which is unique to the sign under which you are born.  The scent of each sign was carefully formulated and packaged according to your Astrological color and universal crest, making it the perfect gift that shows a personal touch.

This month we will be adding the Heavenly Body eau de Toilette Fragrance Spray to our catalog, thereby completing the entire collection available at our storefront.  The Heavenly Body Spray will be arriving on or before October 5th 2007.

The Great Pumpkin.

This is our skin care tip of the month, just in case you were wondering what a Jack-o-Lantern has to do with Bath and Body products.

Let us begin with the basics.  Pumpkin is technically a fruit and not a vegetable.  It contains natural fruit acids, zinc, enzymes, and Vitamins A & C, making it a natural alternative to harsh chemical peels.  Pumpkin gently exfoliates dead skin cells and removes impurities from the skins surface, like a facial scrub.  Among the 100 beneficial properties of pumpkin, it also contains Vitamin B, niacin, and Beta Carotene, altogether pumpkin promotes healing, nutrition and elasticity to the skin.

By making a puree of the flesh and mixing it with Papaya (for oily skin) or Yoghurt (for normal to oily skin) or Avocado (for dry skin) you can create a healthy face mask that will improve circulation; cleanse; and provide nutrients that will leave your skin healthy and glowing.

Google "pumpkin face mask" and you will be rewarded with hundreds of recipes to make your own home spa skin treatments.  So don't throw away the pulp from your Jack-O-Lanterns so quickly, but please make sure to wash the outside of your pumpkin thoroughly and use clean tools to set aside one of the most wonderful ingredients used in skin care treatments today.
