Rejuvenate yourself.  

This is the month dedicated to rejuvenating your body and mind.

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy the great outdoors and sunshine.  Whether you love swimming, cycling, surfing, jogging or long lazy walks, it is clear that most people are always looking for activities to enjoy outside, in an effort to make the most of the warm sunny days.

Here in sunny San Diego, visitors love to spend time at our pristine beaches and wonderful attractions, like Sea World, The San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, the atmosphere is always fun and relaxing.  A holiday is a great way to rejuvenate your mind.

But some of us don't always have time to get out and see the sights, and there are other ways to relax and unwind.  For me, it is Suduko, I spend all my spare time counting from 1 - 9 diagonally, vertically and horizontally or reading a good book.  I also make time for the gym where I spend an hour working off all the pent up energy and stress of the day, which leaves my body relaxed and my mind calm.

Daily living can take a lot out of your body, so it is always important to drink plenty of fluids and eat a healthy well balanced diet.  Even so, we could all use a little extra help with rejuvenation and Mila d' Opiz has produced a wonderful skin care product to compliment your regimen during the hot summer months.

On the subject of surprises, I came across one of the best reviews ever written about the Body Truffles by Upper Canada Soap & Candle Makers products.  The website Style IT is in a blog format which is beautifully laid out and contains interesting information, as well as useful and informative links.

Upper Canada has successfully created a wonderful range of body and bath products using the most difficult fragrance, Chocolate.  I have smelled many chocolate scented candles, lotions and bubbles baths, but none have ever truly captured the gorgeous smell of chocolate like Upper Canada has with the Body Truffles line.

Skin Care Tip of the Month.

Exfoliating is a great way to remove any dead layers of skin and encourages the skin to renew itself, revealing a smooth, soft and all over healthy appearance.  Exfoliating is also a great way to avoid unwanted in-grown hair for those who wax on a regular basis and it opens the follicles making hair extraction more effective.

The best way to do this is to exfoliate your body on a daily basis using a soft loofah, and always apply a good moisturizer after to sooth and protect the new skin.

Most salt and sugar scrubs are also very effective at removing the dead skin cells and tend to be gentle as they dissolve quickly while beneficial ingredients penetrate the skin to sooth and moisture as you scrub.  However, these scrubs are more costly than investing in a loofah, but they are a special treat for your weekly spa in-home treatment.
